Adding internal or side weights to the Accuracy International AT-X rifle enhances overall stability and optimizes balance by positioning the bore centerline as close to the support bag as possible. This results in a straighter recoil impulse, reduced reticle jump, and improved shot-to-shot consistency. The weights are stackable, allowing fine-tuned adjustment while increasing surface contact with the bag for added control.
